Parent Corps Job Descriptions

 Parent Corps President - The Parent Corps President oversees all Parent Corps committees and ensures the smooth running of all Parent Corps programs and events. He/she is available to assist the administration in researching and implementing new programs to enhance the school’s curriculum. The President is responsible for holding monthly meetings on the campus and preparing the agenda.  Additionally, the President represents the campus at the Regional Level and attends those meetings as needed.

Parent Corps Vice-President - The Parent Corps Vice-President is available to assist the president as needed in the overall running of all Parent Corps committees and meetings.

Spiritual Enrichment Chairperson - The Chairperson is needed to coordinate and organize service projects, (such as food drives and coat drives), implement Prayer Chains, create programs for local parishioners to volunteer in classrooms, teach the rosary, and provide assistance for other spiritual enrichment opportunities on the campus.

Family Enrichment Chairperson - The Chairperson is needed to plan and oversee a variety of events to enhance the overall school community and to bring together students and families in a social setting. Events could include Pot Luck Dinners, Trivia Night, Multicultural Day, Matinee/Evening movies, Dorchester Day, Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, Family Fun & Fitness Day, etc.  The chairperson is responsible for soliciting volunteers for this committee to assist at the various functions.

Student Enrichment Chairperson
The Chairperson is needed to arrange programs and visits to the classrooms to supplement the student’s overall academic curriculum. Such events could include author/character visits, musical/theater presentations, Art Docent, arranging the Scholastic Book Fair, Science programs, Career Days, Anti-Bullying Speakers, etc.  This chairperson works very closely with the campus principal and faculty to determine the enrichment needs of the campus.

Communication / Outreach Chairperson - The Chairperson is needed to communicate the various happenings throughout the campus. Outreach would include writing articles for the Regional Newsletter, coordinating the translation of certain materials to meet the needs of the campus community, creating hospitality for various events, photographing various campus events, submitting news articles to local newspapers, and assisting the principal in keeping the campus webpage updated and interesting.
